US replacement notes

Hi, I just thought this may be interesting for anyone who wants to know about US replacements (they use a "Star").
Here is what it says on the original banding of the notes:

"If the numbers on notes in this package do not run in sequence, the substituted notes are indicated by a "Star".  Inquiries should include the series and serial numbers, to include the suffix letters of the notes."

It's like they are asking for people to find out about them!  
I am not really sure how rare star notes are, but I have only seen 3, mind you I handle much less US currency.

If anyone ont there would like any of these bands (they look pretty neat and "official") I would be happy to snag a few from work when I can.  Just send me a SASE and we are good to go.  We do not get them that often, But I will get them when I can if anyone is interested.  I must admit they look a heck of alot better than the plain white bands on our notes!

Sounds good- I will work on that throughout my upcoming shifts.  It seems that all our US comes in brand new, but our Cdn is all old.  :P

I just found a 2003 $10 Star note. The serial number is DH 00112368*. I did a little search to find the value but I didn't find anything. The condition is EF-AU.

If anyone knows the value, please let me know. If nobody knows I will probably spend it.  :)
