I found an old Canadian Tire Bill in my collection one day while counting it.  I have a feeling it is only worth 5 cents at Canadian Tire, but i would like to know how old it is.

The number on it is S2131042, and the signatures are A. Billy (president), and J. Sasaki(Treasurer)

Could anyone tell me the year the bill was printed?

This is the 8th series of the discontinued gas-bar coupons. This particular series was issued in 1985. I believe you have the No serifs S series. This is the most common one and is not worth much $0.25-$1 to $8 in UNC. Its still a nice note worth keeping i think.

Thank You

Unfortunately it is not anywhere near UNC condition.  It has a few folds, one crease, three small tears, and the edges are getting kind of frayed.  It definitely shows signs of 21 years of handling.  I definitely plan on keeping it though, it just looks unusual.

Thanks again
