These notes look in great condition. May I asked what you paid for them.

UNC shinplasters exist in fairly great numbers and if your patient, can find some for fraction of book.  :-[ On any given day ebay will have about a 100 of these ranging mostly in poor conditions which tends to kill the market value  >:(

On the positive side, there is a tremendous amount of Dominion note collectors. High graded notes such as these should be a good investment in the long run.

If they are both UNC they are priced at 750$ for the pair. I strongly doubt you paid that amount, and i doubt anyone would either as there is not really a great demand for 25 cents notes.

I paid $66USD for this first one and $50.53USD for the second one. Not bad! They are almost UNC though...

Marc-Andre.....Congradulations on a nice pair of shinplasters. 8-) I'd say you got a very good deal. :) Are they your main focus or do you collect other series?

I do that too Marc. Sometimes I will buy notes I'm not really interested in too use them as traders with people who have a different focus

I think that's a great idea, one which has worked well for me too!

Those are nice shinplasters Marc, and it looks like you did very well..

While its true that the demand on these notes is a bit soft, that shouldn't be the case forever.  Higher grade notes will always be a good investment.  You can't go wrong with any decent Dominion note.
