I have a feeling that the $20 bird notes are going to be pulled soon. I just pulled $800 in two segments from a TD ATM tonight and only received 5 Journey 20's out of 40 notes.

Does anyone have any info on when these pitiful notes are going to be culled?

Bank of Canada already has said they want anything not the most recent pulled from circulation, to deter counterfeiting.

They ordered the withdrawal of $100 last year and 6 months after the $50... $20 are coming I guess at the end of 2006; early 2007. Soon the new 5s are coming, maybe they will call back the old 5s as well...

If the notes are still good for circulation, the banks keep them out there. I still sell a lot of 20, 50, and 100 bird notes.

was talking to a bank today and they said they will keep circulating the bills as long as they are still good.

Out of ATM machines that is not controlled by the banks at all.  Some just put it in the machines.  Others have a security company bring them in and fill the machines.
