I would like to see their Ultimate Lasting Impressions set of the Birds/Journey's $5 notes /w First Prefix #1 serial. (ENA0000001,ANU0000001 and ???0000001 for the new Journey $5) I am sure it is out there!
ANU0000001 was a Birds $5. The Lasting Impressions sets were numbered ANU 6940000 to ANU 6999999. The first issued Journey $5s were ANV 0000001
There are no plans for any further lasting impressions sets, due to the current ones being a rather embarassing failure.
As a general rule, the National Currency Collection (NCC) keeps the first three notes of any particular issue. So, ENA0000001 to ENA0000003 would be kept, the rest issued (special case: many low ENA were kept for low-numbered sets).
I would also like to see change over notes, mostly 1986 $2 Bonin / Theissen EGR2000000.
A more typical example would be the EGR T/C to B/T changeover at 2.0M. The NCC will keep EGR1999999, 2000000, 2000001 and 2000002. This is an interesting case, becase a member of this forum has EGR2000003 and EGR2000004. I have EGR2000005. Subsequent notes were also obtained, and many have since been sold off to others.
how about the exact highs and lows of all changeovers and replacements
You'll be happy to know that on our visit, we spent over an hour in Exhibit 8 going through all DoC and BoC panels checking serial numbers against what is known in the Charlton guide. Surprisingly, we found many new numbers which will be posted to the Charlton Updates forum and/or the Wiki (as appropriate) over the coming day or so.
