So do they keep the first second and thrid notes for all new prifixs or how dose it work I have a number 1,2,3,4,5 on a new $5s ???
The Bank of Canada retains the first, second, third and last notes printed for any series or signature changeovers. Printing year changeovers are not necessarily kept in the same manner, as this form of changeover had never previously been a tangible change to the printed notes.

Notes such as AOB0000001 are released to circulation, as it is not a changeover. All 0000000 notes are retained and/or destroyed.

Make a new post about this in What's It Worth? and include more details, such as complete serial numbers, scans, etc.

I'd like to see the extremely beautiful IMPERIAL BANK OF CANADA $20 1902 double-size note --- apparently only one issued example is known and that was sold at a New Netherlands Co. auction in New York City in the early 1970's (I remember receiving the catalogue at the time). It sold for a lot at the time but an amount that would be regarded as a pittance today.

A few issued Bank of Vancouver notes would be very nice too ....

That's a sweet 2 dollar note. All you have to do now is print them and put them out in circulation.  ;)
