A few years ago i paid $250 for an EDX crow-bouey $10 Steel-engraved. It was only in F-VF at best but it was the only one such note i have ever seen. Above the catalogue price but was worth it i think. You rarely see this variety.

Hey JB,we all appreciate you telling us what you paid for that note "A few years ago ",and yet the idea is to have a place to post what we paid for notes in the calender year we are posting.
Heck I can tell you about some pretty rare stuff i bought 10-15 years ago, problem is it doesn't help out the buyer/seller presently. That's the idea of my starting this :)

A few others seem to have forgot,or not realized that we are to keep our personal comments regards price, whether too high or low to ourselves. This is to be a place for all to post 2006 prices, next year a place to post 2007 prices, ect.
A current Trends if you will :D

With that said,today I purchased:
1) *NY Unc @ $1200.00
2) 1937 $50 C/T Unc @ 1150.00
3) 1954 $1.00 *OY @ $240.00
4)1935 Gem Unc $2.00 @ 1950.00
5)1954 *AY Gem Unc @ 200.00

I don't think this was specified in the first posting.

From the first post: "The purpose would not be to debate trends,guides,under-valued,or over priced, rather to post prices realized, bought or sold."

And my second,the threads 3rd:
"As the point is not to debate prices,i WILL REFRAIN from comment, but thank you for the info.May be useful for a future purchase."

My third post:
"With 700 members, only kc and I are interested in a thread that keeps members/lurkers up to date on what someone is currently paying for notes?"

Yeah it kinda evolved :).Point being,I diidnt want to turn a useful tool into some slam fest about buyers, sellers or you paid too much, ect.Really think this could be helpful to the community, but if the Moderators see we can't post our buy sells as information only i can understand the reasons to not allow this to continue(I may be reading too much into it?)

Pd $ 415.00
19th edition $ 450

Two very very light counting creases probably something
like an UNC60 if we're talking the new system being talked about.

About one and half year ago, I purchased a UNC BEK 2003 10$ note for 40$.  I jumped when I saw the price in the latest Charlton's:  250$.  The seller told me that it would be a good one...
