There haven't been very many comments concerning my original post.
I've been holding on to numbers that are palindrome with leading zeros either added or removed since mathematically these ARE equivalent to palindrome numbers although they don't have quite the same eye appeal as those typically collected...
These are actually quite a bit rarer than the ordinary 7-digit types... for example there are only 99 possible 11-digit ones out of a 10M run such as the note posted (00009090000). Here is a slightly less ambitious 9-digit palindrome number (999/10M):
