Last $5 note printed by Canadian Bank Note marked "PRINTED IN 2005"  - HPA 7549999

Last $50 note printed by BA Banknote marked "PRINTED IN 2004"  - AHJ 2230530
First $50 note printed by BA Banknote marked "PRINTED IN 2006"  AHJ 2281000
Last $50 note printed by Canadian Bank Note marked "PRINTED IN 2004"  - FMJ 4010999

Last $100 note printed by BA Banknote marked "PRINTED IN 2005"  - BKM 8369999
Last $100 note printed by Canadian Bank Note marked "PRINTED IN 2003"  - EJE 9544999

The above has been confirmed by the Bank of Canada and has been posted on the Wiki H/L lists. Still working on another couple changeovers.

Note: Just because the last note is known, that does not mean that the first note of the following group is one note away. There can be gaps in the numbering, as is seen increasingly often with the Journey series.

Further, the Bank of Canada states (and has reconfirmed) that the first 2006 $5 upgraded security note is AOF 3800000. Although AOF is the first prefix, the Bank says that not all notes from these prefixes (AOF and AOG) have been issued to circulation yet. Please be extra diligent in searching out the AOF and AOG notes that may or may not be available.

GREAT WORK BRENT!!!

Let the Hunt Begin!

I am willing to bet they are at the back of the warehouses by now!  :( We may not see them for quite some time!

Also How long will it take to see the 2007 $5 Notes begin to surface (Based on previous experience)?  :-?

Sorry Ladies...I am now a Married Man!!!

I wouldn't expect them till June at the earliest. The 03/04 and 04/05 $5 changervers were both in June/July.

I'm a bit surprised to see that the last 50$ notre printed in 2004 has the number AHJ2230530, which does not complete a sheet or even not a ream...  How it's possible? Sure that it's not a typo?  And the some 51 000 notes gap to the first notes printed in 2006 does not seem "normal" too...

Very strange... :-? :-?

Hi Pete,
I thought the exact same thing, but that is the information provided by the Bank, so until we disprove it, it should stand.
