Hi everybody
Does any of you know of a case/cases were BABN notes ended up being mixed in with CBN notes or the other way around ?
Thanks for any info.  :) :)

Yes,

Some brick searchers sometimes get bricks of both in some cases and they might get mixed when being returned.

This is the only case I can think of.  ;)

One brick would have had to find its way into the other company's location.

Such as: CBN banding BABN bricks. Cutting them too.  You can tell by the way they are banded, and sometimes even the cutting cups. This has happened in the New Journey $5s already (around AOJ) and also in the Upgraded tens here and there.  The BABN notes were shipped to CBN for cutting and wrapping. Thisis what I understand from conversations with Gilles.
Very odd, and I do not have much more info about it at this time.

Agreed, for the NEW Journey $5's this has happened but CBN is not printing any so there is STILL no Mixing from my understanding. They are just picking up some of the slack from BABN.  ;)

Gilles does seem to have some knowledge of this, but it is unclear what ramifications this could cause.  :-/

At this point I would say it is EXTREMELY unlikely they will mix 2002 CBN $5's and 2006 BABN $5's in a single brick. But... We ARE talking about CBN here is anything IS possible...   ;D

Gilles will be addressing this type of situation in his upcoming newsletters.
Also-- some other oddities in the new notes
Very strange- looking forward to it.

Oh man, and learning the Insert Determining system is a logical exercise itself and now this? I'm starting to think that the BoC is putting the gauntlet down as saying "Let's give those CPMS collectors something else to figure out now that they figured out the plate numbering matrix."
I'm hoping it's just a little warehouse house keeping stuff, A few bundles here, few there, etc.

I will be writing something about that, in the June newsletter, and also posting in online in the future.

If you're planning on getting that into the June newsletter, you might want to get a move on. I've already got a good portion of the June newsletter filled with material that has been previously submitted. If you delay, you might miss June and have to wait until September. March has been full for quite a while. We're just putting the finishing touches on March and hopefully it should hit the printing company on time.
