Today I have implemented a new kind of forum, and I have managed to keep it as close as possible to the old forums.

All old posts, members, etc, should be in this new version.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOGGING IN, please email me at bwjm@cdnpapermoney.com. Include the username you are logging in with. I will do everything I can to help you out.

If you notice anything wrong with the new forums, please send me a PM or email me. You can also post to this thread if you like. Your feedback is essential to continuous improvement.

NOTE: Topic Notifications seem to have been cleared during the transition. If you had any notifications set for various topics, you may want to reapply them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks!

There is also now a French language pack installed, so anyone who prefers French can change all the buttons and labels, etc to French.

I like the look of the new forum. What I really like is the recent posts section and how it has pages, so if you are away from a computer for awhile you can read as many pages you need to catch up.

Spell check will be nice too but seems to be not working yet.

Thanks Brent for all the hard work that you do. It is appreciated.

Apparently the server doesn't support it.  :-\

However, Firefox (click) does include a built-in spell-checker, plus it's a far better browser than IE. Check it out!

Update: Recent Posts and Members buttons now appear at the top of the page for logged-in users. French versions of the buttons also work.

Brent,

I just checked my messages and noticed that all my Outbox messages are gone.  There are 0 messages
residing in my Outbox.

Is it possible that they did not get transferred over in the migration ?

Has anyone else noticed that their Outbox messages have disappeared since the migration to the new
Forum site ?

Same here ,no messages in outbox and I just sent one and it did not appear either. Did it get sent? Does anyone know if a PM is sent it is actually sent?
Thanks

I just sent a PM to myself and it showed up in my Inbox but the sent PM did not show up in my Outbox.

I then went to my Profile > Personal Message Options,
and checked the box for Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default.

Sent a test message again and now it is showing in my Outbox.

You may have to go into your individual profiles and reset your preferences as they seem to have all
been set back to the defaults during the migration.

I also noticed that I had to setup all my notifications again as they were not carried over in the migration
either.

I'll see what I can do in terms of restoring outboxes. As for any new PMs you send, if you want them in your outbox, please turn on that option in your profile.

I like it. The color scheme is different and nice. It reminds me of.....$5's! Whereas the previous format was okay. It reminded me of $50's instead. Hey I look like Bob Marley, and I thought I looked more like Jackie Chan.

Hi Brent,

Looks good so far.   I am wondering about member's personal avtars he/she used in the previous versions.... the one's that were already defaulted on the previous versions and and where members can select and choose from.  I noticed many other members selected some of the default avtars... and now the pictures are marked by "x" when he/she post their replies.

ie...  http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/forum/avatars/fredflinstone.gif

Thanks!!!

Michael
