The notes are not error notes but notes that have been cut poorly from the special issue 1986 $5 Knight-Dodge, ANU 5 x 8 format sheets.

This is confirmed by looking at the serial numbers which fall within the ANU 6000000 - 6939999 range for these sheets.

You'd think one of the three departments would have contacted the B.O.C., or done a 5 minute internet search to figure out that there sheet cut fives.  I love the drama !

Nice I didnt even see that one  :-[ good thing I asked cause I would have bid on it for sure. Still seems odd that they sent the notes back to the owner for them to go back to the bank to get new notes ???

I've made many enquiries, complaints to eBay, and heads up to potential "Winners" of the sheet "knock-offs" that are being touted/marketed as "errors."  The progress is slow and painful since I cannot claim fraud, or directly prevent this kind of activity so I wrote a "Guide" which some have found useful.  I consider these trumped-up so-called "errors" about as productive as the "Gold Leaf"  or "Polar Bear" enterprises.  I can only hope that other fellow members will do their best to keep things "Clean" and on a level playing field.

Spread the word... its te best thing we can do...
