Here's kind of a goofy question!  I've got a 1973 $1. It is *1500000. As there appears to be no actual starting point for this prefix, could this be considered to be note #1? Even though it isn't 00001. It's also the lowest number for all of the 2 letter prefixes in the $1 replacements.  Any thoughts---anyone?

What would the prefix letters be? I doubt this is the first note as the currency museum usually keeps the first one printed in their collection, but you never know.

*AB was only printed as single sheet replacements, so there's not really any concept of a "first note of the range". Your note is just as good as any other *AB note, but they're all quite valuable.

It is the lowest numbered of all the *AB $1 notes recorded to date.
