I just purchased this very cool 1986 $5 Bird Series Fold Error.

The paper fold occurred before the note was printed resulting in an extra piece attached to the note and a blank area on the back of the note.  When the fold is opened a piece of the reverse printing appears on the front along with a portion of the right serial number.

I will post better pictures once the actual note arrives and I can scan it myself.

I always believed in that saying "Where there is a will, there is a way" , but unfortunately all my relatives are dead and I was never in any of their wills ;D
and by the time I knew of their passing ...it was likely that their kidneys were of no use, even in the black market.

From what I can see of the small picture in nova7415 (Rob's) profile, the notes appear similar.  I purchased mine recently from a collector in Singapore.  Hopefully Rob will post a picture of his note and we will see if it came from the same sheet or brick of notes as this one.

Per your request Arthur here is a picture of my 5.00 Error note for your viewing pleasure :D. It would appear that they are from 2 completely different batches 8). Although they both have the same signatures of Bonin/Thiessen :D.
