I was picking up some garden supplies at a local superstore and behold something I never dream would happen. I got in my hands my first solid !!! It's a Journey series $10 note with a serial of BTC9999999. I think its VF30 to a low grade EF (if lucky), with 2 fold creases, one halfway across, one halfway down the note. What ballpack over face is this note worth ?

Very nice find, and welcome to the forums. The Chalton says that an Unc is worth $450 and a VF is 40% of the Unc price. That would place your note at $180. Though I think it could sell for a bit more than that. Hope this helps.

I already have the new 20th Edition and the price for a Canadian Journey $10 solid radar is $650 in UNC.

Based on a 40% multiplier for VF, the note would be book valued at CDN $260.  Market price may be higher.

Congrats on the find!  Hope I get that lucky one day. I'm certainly trying to see more change these days.  You know, paying with a $20 for something that's,say, $4.
