Calculating the value of a note

Hi All:

I'm wonder what others are doing when calculating the value of a note.

Suppose you have a uncirculated Birds $100 note with the serial number AJN0000123. According to the new catalog (on page 332), the Unc value is $300.

Looking in the special numbers section of the catalog (on page 363), the value is $250.

So, which is it? $300, $250, $550?

Any hints would be appreciated.
