i have at least 8 sequential 2 dollar bills in excellent condition from 1954 and they have an asterix before the serial numbers.  I don't know too much about canadian currency but would anyone have an idea if they are worth much or are rare?

 WOW
These are some pretty nice notes to have and are worth $500 in almost uncirculated condition (bend in the middle) or $950.- $1,250. each if perfect uncirculated condition.

CONGRATULATIONS!

wow!!!  :o

are they worth more because they are in sequential order, and kinda of a set  And i would say they are in perfect conditions ..there are no creases or bends....

those prices you quoted are they for all of them as a set  or each one is worth that??

I too must say WOW  :o :o :o

The prices quoted by Gary_T are per banknote.  I don't know if the notes would command more money because they are sequential or not...some say no, some say yes.

Sure would like to see them...

they may look a little wrinkled in the phots but it's because there were rolled up for so long.  but there are no creases or wrinkles in the bills ...i think they just have to be flatted out for a while

Here's a close up... now i'm no expert but i would say they are in perfect condition.

so i have 9 sequential 2$ bills with the asterix thing (like i said i'm not expert and don't know the terminology ;D)

so would you guys say they are worth in the 900-1250 dollar range as stated above?  what do you think i could get for them if i were to sell them?

Thanks for all the help so far :)

One thing you don't want to do is to start to press your notes.  That's a NO NO ;D
Also, on the scan of the 3 notes it appears there is something on the last note.  Looks like the number 7 written on it or is it just something on the holder or sleeve.

what do you mean by pressing your notes?  what can go wrong by doing this?  right now i put them in a book to try and flatten them out ... and yes there is something written on it ... there is a number 1 written on the first one in my sequence and a number 9 written on the last one in the sequence

By pressing a note you can alter it and actually decrease the grade of a note.
Natural waves on heavy inked areas or embossing can be harmed.

Neither an I, but not telling someone that the note has writing on it is an important thing to mention because here again it takes away from the note.
I for one would not purchase a note that has been written on.
You should mention any other things you notice whether it is a pinhole, or even minute tear.
