I have a HP PSC1600 All in One printer, scanner, copier and it works fine with today's notes most of the time.  Sometimes it will crash and I have to scan a few notes over again.

HP is far superior to the Lexmark (any of them).  My Lexmark feeder (roller) would not take the paper into the scanner and when I called to get it fixed it would have cost more to ship it than to replace it.  It went about 2 months after the 2 year warranty.

I agree with the HP comment. My PSC3180 all-in-one has never once failed to scan a note, even the 2007 Journey ones. It is a winning combination with Photoshop 7.
