Excuse me if this has been asked and answered already.

Does anyone know why Charlton lists the two issues each of multicolour 5s and 20s apart from each other whereas the two issues each of journey 5s and 10s are adjacent to each other.

Thanks,
Craig

The "second" issue of multicolours was in 1979, with the serial numbers on the back instead of the face. I believe the BoC was experimenting with a new style of note that didn't pan out.  The Journey series $5 and $10 notes are the same series, but the later notes have additional/upgraded security features.

I guess I don't see the difference.

The "second" issue of multicolours was release 7-10 years after the first set, with minor changes/security features.
The "second" issue of Journeys was released 4-5 years years after the first set, with additional security features.
