On page 347 of the cat there is a BEY (2.860-2.980) range yet on the insert list from Canada Banknotes the BEY ranges are as follows
2.86-2.90 40K
2.912-2.914 2K
2.917-2.918 1K
2.928-2.929 1K
2.931-2.932 1k
2.933-2.935 2k
2.946-2.947 1k
2.961-2.964 3k
So what exactly is correct. The catalogue has all of these ranges lumped together, but on the list they all appear as individual ranges. Mostly SNR's.
Could someone please clarify.

I think the Cat might have been finalized before the information regarding SNR ranges was mature enough to place a more accurate description.
This has to do with
a) blocks of bricks
b) mini reams
c) mini-ream convergence, based on block usage for mini reams.
It is likely (since finds are still to this day being reported) that the ranges could combine too groupings of 4000, starting with a serial number, modulo 40000. BEY are also staggered by 20,000 from the typical FP/BP of standar Matrix (Until the end of BEZ actually) so, they would be consistent with module 20000.
2.86-2.90 40K -- fits perfectly with the staggered modulus.
2.912-2.914 2K -- this would likely be 2.912-2.916 (4000 notes)
2.917-2.918 1K -- this would likely be 2.916-2.920 (4000 notes)

Now-- it is anyones guess if these in-between ranges were also used as replacements. The fact that there are no finds confirmed means no one has found any. So, even in the case that they were, there would be no addition to the note population.
The information points to (from those that do "super bricks" (4 brick bags) is that replacements are loaded in hoppers in at least 4 side by side "trays" which are automatically shot into placve when the machine sez so.
Note, there are 5 rows, so this could even bring the amount of notes to fill the hoppers to 5 bricks. OR one super pack, plus a single. IF they were consecutively numbered, then you would have a batch of 20,000 used for this SNR purpose from the 5 hoppers accross.
Regardless, the population of notes is very finite because of the number of searchers and finds. That is, finds are still scarce.
Most importantly, until we KNOW for certain (confirmed) in note or by process,
we must err on the side of caution when defining ranges.Thus the whole process.
