November 7th:

A "Where's Willy?" record?

Recently, I was notified that a banknote that I entered into the Where's Willy site had been found...23 years, 166 days, 19 hours and 46 minutes later!

Check it out!

November 8th:
Some interesting notes repatriated from the UK.

There were a few interesting notes in the hoard that my friend brought back from the UK.

This 1973 $1 has a faintly written note in pencil: “Der(Ger) Man Queen”

The second 1973 $1 has the “pink stamp of death” that is very blurry.  I think it says “The Bank of Nova Scotia” and the year 1990.  The rest of the date is illegible.

This sun scorched 1971 $10 has been autographed by several people as a good luck note.
“Good Luck Hank”. “Best Wishes” and “Brother” are all I can read.

Finally, this 1979 $20 also has a “pink stamp of death” on it.  This one is legible though… It reads:
The Royal Bank of Canada
Cobourg, Ontario
01002 003

And a partial date 85 which I assume is 1985.

A quick search of the transit number reveals that it is
66 King St. West
Cobourg Ontario
K9A 2L9

The funny thing is that I was actually at this branch the last time I visited Cobourg!

Enjoy!
