Today I went to the bank to withdraw some cash to enter to the SNDB and I found this $5 bill. 1 number away from being the 5 millionth note but needless to say I’ll add that to my banknote collection

I get lots of those too but never a solid. Still keep just that same as they are neat. I got one 20 years ago on a 5 similar to yours with the 3's and 7's:

Nice! I keep the neat ones as well but don't see them very often anymore as I don't do as many cash transactions.

Here is one of my this hurt experience that happened today. Today working as a cashier I found a low serial number $5 (IOG 0000666), it was the first time I found a low serial number after a customer gave it to me a cash transaction so I put it in the cash register so I could get it later in a isolated spot but later when I was trying to get the bill I realized one of my co-worker gave it to another customer as change.

That is quite unfortunate. I have seen some good bills that way and made sure I was able to get someone to swap it out for me before I left the area.
