Today's "so close but so far"

AMA 3998998

I'm really tempted to take a little black pen and make that 3 and 8! :-D

Someone said that there is a way to take out the ink from numbers. Can you not take out the first half of 8  :D

Wonder what paper money would say if it could talk?

Just think water.... for all those disappointments you've come across, when you finally do score a solid you may be walking around like priapus for a week ...

I hope I never end up like priapus (for a day- let alone a week!)  I have never expected a solid.  But I will settle for a 2 digit, a change-over, or error  ;D

What happens is I so often come across notes that come right up to the point of being a radar and then the # jump by 100,000 or multiple of 10,000 in a bad way so no cigar.

Yesterday went to the Metro to do a quick grocery for my mother in law... I see the boss giving new 5$ to the casher so I ask Interact + redraw of 10$ (to get 2x 5$)... I get in my car... here's the serial number : HPP 9696983 and 9696984 ... I wanted so bad 9696969 so I go back inside but her bundle started at 9696971 ... !!! I was not happy :(

See my banknotes collection at http://banknotes.davidbelanger.net/.

I've always thought that if 8s count, so should 1s.  The serif on the 1 is not that much different than the difference in size of the loops on the top and bottom of the 8s.

My son brought me 20, $5 and in them was a HAB 4567890.  That didn't hurt.
