Outrageous / Ridiculous U.S $50 note over 17.5 million dollars

This is one crazy note.  I have not ever seen this before.  Who has the money to but this note?  Is this true??   Even if I have this money, I would not purchase this..... NO WAY!!!!

This dealer is in Tarpon Springs, Florida, doing business as Arcade Currency Palace.  He often uses incredible Buy It Now prices as a psychological push to the Best Offer pricing.  It may also be advertising without intent to sell.  Notwithstanding, he does have an extensive stock of high grade, high value ($500/$1000) obsolete US currency.

I was just about to write a cheque when I noticed something - aren't there three vertical folds in that note?  What a shame! - I only collect those $50 gold certificates in unc.  Sorry, Mr. greatest in the world dealer.

Did you know the he is the ONLY Accredited Coin dealer and is accredited by the famous well known USPI Inc. Accreditation - Coin and Currency Dealers and Grading Company.
The funny thing is that if you check out the USPI Inc. website it is listed at the exact same address as his business.  Now how well could someone be doing if they have to share office space .... Atleast they have different phone numbers. That really fooled me.

I think blumax has hit the nail on the head with his comment that I have highlighted in bold above. It's merely cheap publicity, not so much without the intent of selling but without any possible hope of selling at anywhere close to the listed price. Several eBay sellers use this highly undesirable and highly unprofessional tactic in a vain attempt to boost the market to unrealistic levels and to establish themselves as market "leaders".
