The Queen's hair is lighter, and the big number 20 is kind of cool! (I always wondered what the digit "2" looked like on our Journey notes, since there are no more $2 bills)

Now if only we could see the back of the note...

Hmmm, BOC.  BOC should be a $5 prefix.  Oh well, I bet it stands for Bank of Canada in this case.

Well, I guess that if the prefix BOB (also a guy's name) gets released on a future $5, the next prefix after that would logically be BOD...

Like Seth said, the test note prefix BOC probably means Bank Of Canada.

P.S.:  Didn't I forget to tell you that the Queen looks somewhat older?

So any preliminary opinions?  I think it's alright, but not as nice as the $5.  I'm sure it'll look nicer when we have them in our hands.

They're going to beging with prefix EYG.  I saw it on the news report tonight.

So far, I like the fives.  But wait until the $50's come out...

I'll probably like the new $20's when I get my hands on one in five weeks' time.

I like the overall green colour vs the beige of the previous issue $20's.  Now that there are no $1 notes, the green colour is not in conflict with another denomination.... except the US notes which all look the same to me.

I think that all the notes will look nicer when the series is complete.  Remember how odd it was when it was just the $10?

I like it very much but I have always liked the red colored $50 so I'm not choosing a favorite yet.
I like front more than the reverse and I think they got the color perfectly.

Hi everyone,

I like what I see on the new twenty.  The portrait is very well done (as are all in this series) and lifelike.  It is nice to see a cool green note for a change.  Kind of like the 1969 20's vibrant green colour.  I also like the art on the back and it's nice to see Native culture highlighted on a banknote. However, the $100 and now the $20 are rather sparse in design on the reverse compared to the $5 and $10.  

I wonder what the inscription below the portrait reads?  "H.M. QEII...  It seems that people need reminders of our history these days (like names and dates of prime ministers and titles.)  There was a time that people knew this stuff by heart    Oh well, enough ranting...well done BoC!!

THIS is a superior note over that drab ugly 20.00 we have had thrust upon us....great artwork,,nice layout..even the Queen looks rather pleased with herself!!! very nice....hell; I might even start collecting these ((NOT!!)) ((well radars anyway!!))

The jenkins/dodge 5's and 10's have been out since may and the jenkins/dodge 100 since march. Check the high low listings.

Nice note I like the  darker green ,But I think it just doesn't equal the fiver.

Reading the Globe & Mail's report on the new twenty I came across the following line regarding the features of the new note:

Tactile features: Raised dots in the top right corner, a non-security feature, allows the fision impaired to distinguish denominations.

Couldn't help but laugh.  I'm not sure if being fision-impaired means that I do or don't blow up!

Maybe the Bank of Canada can help with this.

I guess you were referring to the Globe and Mail's website article on the new $20 note.  The real article in the newsprint form is correct.  

Actually, there were many typing errors on the electronic version.    My guess is that they got some inexperienced summer student typers typists (thanks Lamb  ) and illiterate proof readers to fill-in for the full timers on holidays.
