At the Vancouver Oakridge show there was a very nice note on display.
DC-16 1900A Ship/US locks
The note is Professionally graded by PCGS with the following designation;
APPARENT GEM UNC 65
Bottom edge restored
Looking at the note it appeared flawless even under very good lighting conditions, the restoration work looked great and it is difficult to tell if there was any work done on it. Otherwise I would have missed it completely. I hope some of the members that attended this show have seen it, this is an example of the kind of restoration work that will be seen in the future. Kudos for PCGS who indicated the notes prior problem. Do you think this an adequate designation or should there be more information? Like a letter stating what was the original note's condition prior to restoration? An original photo? History?
