So, with that being said, what time (Eastern Daylight Time) will the new $50 be unveiled? :)

If it is to be at 5:30 p.m. in Calgary time, it would be awfully late in Newfoundland time!  :o

See what you think.

It's here!

I gotta say, though, that I'm a bit disappointed.  The shade of red used is not to my liking.

I hope the image is just messed up.  I was expecting a much more vibrant red.  That's almost a pale.... blush.... colour.  Yuck!

Mind you, remember that the image on the site is NOT an actual banknote.  It is a digital reproduction to depict several security features.  Notice the see-through number, watermark and security thread.  The $5 and $10 images are actual scans of notes, but the $20, $50 and $100 are NOT.

I'm not really fussy over the new $50 - it looks more "pink" than "red".  But, like BWJM said, the image is not an actual banknote.

However, I will still be looking forward to when I get my hands on one (or two, or...).

Later, Jonathan

P.S.:  I still think that the fiver is the most "attractive" Journey note...
