Wouldn't you love to email your manager your resignation with the following reason:

Dear Manager

I'm resigning with immediate effect -

the reason for my resignation is what i found in my garage this morning before coming to work.

(how long would it take to search all those U.S. $100 banknotes?)

The actual photo is from a drug money bust.

  Smile from your heart.  ;D

It would keep me busy for a while, but I want to know how many of those are counterfeit.

Anyone want to see if they can calculate how much face value is in that stack? ("stack" hardly seems adequate to describe this colossal mountain of cash!)

That would certainly be quite useful to the SNDB (if we tracked US notes).

It's only a "guesstimate" based on what we can count.  I counted 34 rows having each at least 13 stacks, so you have 442 stacks.  The harder part to estimate is how much we have notes in one stack.

Since we don't have a reliable point of reference for the height, I guess that each stack is about 36 inches high,  Assuming about 150 used notes per inch:  we can have at least 5000 notes per stack.

So we can get a ballpark figure total:  5000 x 13 x 34 = 2 200 000 x 100$ notes = 220 000 000$  :o :o :o :o :o .  If you can go through 100 notes per 5 minutes, or 20 notes per minute, you'll need at least 100 000 minutes, or about 1700 hours, or almost 6 month if you're searching 10 hours a day...

Incidentally, this picture has already been posted elsewhere in the internet few years ago and this picture is not the only one showing tremendous amount of money.  There was pictures of at least one locker full choked of stacks of 100$ notes.

Finally, I really doubdt that there is much fake money.  I don't think it would be a good idea to pay a drug dealer with fake money...It a good mean to be found in a sleeping bag attached on concrete blocks in the bottom of the St-Lawrence River...  :-\ ;)

I found a video of this money bust:

Unfortunately, it's in Spanish, but the images tells all...

Enjoy!

I wonder who the real criminal is, the drug lord or the government for stealing all the money.

This image comes from a anti-drug raid that happened in Mexico in 2007.
copperpete was pretty close, the total amount is estimated to 205 000 000$US.
