James Coyne, former governor of the Bank of Canada whose signature appears on some of the 1937 and 1954 notes, turned 100 today, July 17. There is an article about him in Gordon Sinclair's column in the online edition of the Winnipeg Free Press of Saturday, July 17.

maybe he should get a special commemorative bill... ;D

It would be cool if I could ever get him to autograph a nice '37 bill for me
