Hi. I've been into coins for a while and I'm now trying to learn a bit about paper money.
I see there's interest in AU 2-dollar notes.  Why these in particular? Are they rare?
I have a few. AUG...AUJ... AUK and they're in really good shape.
Want to get a handle on their worth and some info about the registry you have going so I might provide it with the information. Besides having a few other bills (mostly ones and twos) there's a lot of other stuff I have to learn... and hopefully will over time.

This topic has been covered several times before. In summary, these notes (AUG-AUN) are popular because all prefix are changeover notes with some having crow-bouey and some having thiessen-crow signatures. Only the AUG, AUH and AUJ notes having the Thiessen-Crow signature and the rare ones around, the ones that are worth the $$$.
All other notes AUG-AUN are overvalued in my opinion as they appear to be widely available in all grades. They are priced higher then regular notes simply because of the interest collectors have for these prefix, the fact that no one knows the exact changeover points and QTY printed of each prefix. Check out the links below to other discussions. There is also are registry for these notes in wiki. Hope this helps.
