Am I wasting my time sending scans of high/low serial # notes for confirmation?
Seeing them actually updated would be all the encouragement I would need to keep sending them.
Or is it somethink that just doesn't matter?

It does matter, but I don't have the time to update them every day. I have asked for volunteers to assist with this job but nobody has stepped forward.

I tend to update the scans every few weeks or so. It's getting to be about time for another batch to be done. I also let them pile up a bit in case new highs or lows come in - only the current high/low needs a scan.

Regardless, please continue to send in scans of your high and low notes. They will get posted, but it may not happen right away.

If anyone is willing to help out in this regard, please get in touch with me.
