What has been going on with imageshack lately? When someone uses it to post an image, we see the image in the post. But when we click on it to get an enlarged version, we get taken to imageshack.com, and we don't see the image. First we see a full page ad. After we close the ad, there is a button to download the image, but no image there for viewing.

What happened? Is there any way to get the old way back (simply click the image in a post to see the enlarged version)? The new way is so much more cumbersome.

I don't see any of what you're describing.  Mind you, I am running Firefox with the Adblock add-in.  When I click on an image, I arrive at an Imageshack webpage with a larger version of the desired image.  Nothing fancy, no ads, no forced download...  Works just fine for me.

I have not had this happen with any of my postings. However, images from some of other members' postings do open to a page with links, rather than a full-size image. For instance, click on the image in this Dean's posting http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/forum/index.php?topic=14505.msg63649#msg63649. I tried IE, Firefox and Chrome on two different computers, and I still get a page with links when I click on the thumbnail.

I've been having the same problem viewing images for about 2 months that I've noticed.
