Found this circulated 20 at work..  The second eight in the left hand serial number is very heavily printed.
Just an insignificant glitch?

I'd say so, especially with the degree of wear that the note has.

If that was my $20, i would not even have noticed it unless someone showed me and would have gone back into circulation. There is nothing out of the ordinary with that serial number. Those types of things similar to that 8 happens all the time.

I remember seeing an AWO $20 note at a BMO branch a year or two ago - one or two of the O's (not zeroes) were heavily printed.  ::)

Unfortunately, I turned down the note.  :(
