At Grocery Showcase West the Bank of Canada will uncover the hidden codes in the new $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills. From see-through numbers to holographic stripes, the Bank of Canada has enlisted skilled graphic artists and state-of-the-art technology to protect our tender from the all too real risks of counterfeiters. The 16th annual Grocery Showcase West trade show runs March 6th and 7th at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. Bank of Canada sessions take place from 11:00 am to noon on Monday, March 7th at the Fairmont Hotel.
A Bank of Canada representative will take its audience through a visual presentation of the new Canadian Journey series of notes that outlines seven new security features. Time is precious and so is that hard-earned money - the Bank of Canada session will provide important tips that will enable retailers to distinguish a genuine note from a counterfeit one in only seconds.
