Hi All,

So I'm getting closer and closer to CND paper notes.  LOL  This week when I went to pick up notes the forgot to take them out of the vault, but had just taken in these US $2 notes.  I know very little about US notes, except that one of them is a star note which is the equivalent of CND replacement notes. Yippee!

And the INY prefix saga continues.  Today I got 3 from the same bank bring my total to 13.  Makes me wonder how many I would have if I went to this branch every day?

That's all til next time.

Cheers,
Breanna

Nice pick up on the INY & US $2.00

I really don't know much about US currency either except 2 or 3 things:
1) they issue about 100X more notes than BoC (both regular runs & replacements) so that's why the 8 digits & block letters (indicating which Federal Reserve Bank the note was issued from- there's several: radars & other "fancy #" are popular b/c they're next to impossible to find
2) You got to go back to the 1950's for anything collectible but they must be in pretty great shape (AU to UNC like a 1950E $50 is supposed to be uncommon), Light Green seals or the 1940's - Hawaii brown seals & African yellow seals are popular.
3) Their Large sized notes (with colour) are a big hit (1928 & prior) & there seems to be no end in sight

You can check your replacement $2.00 on this STAR NOTE Lookup site (& it will tell you whether its part of a large multi million # run or smaller 640K run):

Here's my Notaphilyc Culture's "Sites & Forums" page if you need any more info on US & BEP notes:

Thank you for that info WTTW.  Mine is a 'large run', and the info is useful for novices.  :)
