Well as promised, I came down for the show and I ended up being there for over 12 hours!
I made a brief tour of the bourse room, then got dragged into a rather fruitful discussion group with several CPMS members including Mr. Harold Brown, the CPMS president. In that group, we talked about various things which will likely make their way to the CPMS executive meeting in July, and from there to the general meeting. Among other minor matters, modifications to the grading standards were brought up as well as the renewed prospect of an overhaul of the rather dreary CPMS website. The latter will likely be headed up by myself, and is so far a very exciting project. Mr. Brown, sudzee and myself then had lunch together in the hotel restaurant (good food, miles ahead of whatever gets served at Torex!) and then we went back to the bourse room for a while. After the show closed, sudzee and myself talked at great length about various matters of great importance (ie: latest prefixes, anything interesting on the drive to London, etc... quite lofty stuff). Finally, I again sat down with Mr. Brown and discussed in greater detail the CPMS website project.
I have decided not to return on Sunday, as I've seen all that the bourse has to offer, talked with those I wanted to talk with, and spent much more than I ought to have. Plus, it's an hour drive for me.
Anyone need a G/R non-test note in VG or F? I've got two. PM me.
