I just got back from my TD branch, and they informed me that they are now pulling all of the $50 Bird notes for destruction as of late last week. 8-)

Cool!  When are they going to pull the Birds $20s?  I still get at least one raggedy Birds $20 for each $100 I withdraw from the ATM  >:(

I can confirm this.  I'm a teller at TD and we did get a memo from the BOC asking us to remove Bird Series $50s from circulation and add them to our "mutilated/unfit" currency (for eventual delivery to the BOC for presumed destruction).

However, note that my particular branch is not enforcing this at all because of the extra work involved.

I can't wait till they pull the Bird $20's. I figure I still get almost 15-20% bird $20's from most ATM withdrawals.

As for the pulling of $50's, my branch told me they already have 7 bundles of them.

It's about time they pull those ratty things out of circulation, hope they follow suit with the 20s and 100s.
