Thanks all for the congratulations. I'm really proud of this degree. A B.Math degree is uncommon, as less than a dozen universities worldwide offer it. Most offer B.A. or B.Sc. degrees for mathematics. The UW B.Math is very highly regarded worldwide as one of the best.
I'm going to take it into my boss' office today and cheerfully suggest a raise. hehehe
I'm putting my odds of success at about 5%.
I can try the trick of saying that I was speaking with Mike Lazaridis from Research in Motion today. (That much is 100% true). But it wasn't about a job. It was about getting my degree. Mike is the Chancellor of the University of Waterloo and was overseeing the entire convocation ceremony and the conferring of the degrees.
