Well, today marks the day that I am officially done with University. I graduated from the Bachelor of Mathematics (B.Math) program at the University of Waterloo today.

Now I get to put a degree on my wall, and a B.Math after my name :D

Fantastic, Oliver! So glad to hear that! (The second part, not that you're chronologically-challenged) ;)

Thanks all for the congratulations. I'm really proud of this degree. A B.Math degree is uncommon, as less than a dozen universities worldwide offer it. Most offer B.A. or B.Sc. degrees for mathematics. The UW B.Math is very highly regarded worldwide as one of the best.

I'm going to take it into my boss' office today and cheerfully suggest a raise. hehehe :D I'm putting my odds of success at about 5%. ::) I can try the trick of saying that I was speaking with Mike Lazaridis from Research in Motion today. (That much is 100% true). But it wasn't about a job. It was about getting my degree. Mike is the Chancellor of the University of Waterloo and was overseeing the entire convocation ceremony and the conferring of the degrees.

Way to go Brent !  Congratulations I'm sure you'll get that dream job someday.

You are 100 times more successful than I was at 23 years old.

Thanks again, everyone! It's great to have all you folks as friends. I have learned a lot from all of you and I hope some day people can learn something from me. It's not every day you get a degree, so I'm going to toot my horn proudly today. Tomorrow though it's back to work.

Ok, now let's do the math, the degree cost how much money? How many years do you need to pay off the student loans? Depressing isn't it?  ;D

Good job though.
