2 digit radar

Can i get some opinions on 2-digit radars.   book has range for 5-100 at 80-100 each respectively.  Being so hard to find(huds can you give me the breakdown per 1000 notes) them.  would they not be worth more.  I was at a show and a dealer had a 2 digit for 200 ++.  

What is everyone's opinion

Hi polarbear, there are 630 2 digit radars I believe.

Given their rarity, and radars popularity in general, he actually MIGHT get that price. I would never pay that, which is why I do not collect 2 digit radars much at all.

So 1 in every 15873 notes is a 2 digit radar.

There are 7 different types of 2-digit radar, each equally rare (90/10M), but which seem to carry slightly different premiums:

1000001
1001001 -- repeats after 3rd digit
1010101 -- repeats after 2nd digit
1011101 -- repeats after 4th digit              
1100011
1101011
1110111 -- repeats after 4th digit & almost solid

I think the most popular would be like 1010101 where the numbers repeat every 2 digits. $150 on an older issue would not be unreasonable for one of those, where closer to $100 might be appropriate for the lowly 1101011 for example. Of course, if the digits are actually "0" and "1" rather than any other of the 90 possible combinations, it might be worth even more as a binary or digital number.

I wonder which types of 2-digit radars are the favorites of other forum members?

You do see a lot of that type of radar sell.  I like 1212121 and other numbers too.

You'd think that the 1000001 (near million) and 1110111 (near solid) would be awful popular too.  I think a lot of people go for multiples of 7's and 6/9's like 6969696  or 9696969
