Findings are ususally accepted and verified only if it comes from brand new bricks, generally not from a bundle as notes do get mix up sometimes in the bank.

Dr. Bill, You are correct... I missed that.

Patrick, Did these notes come from a sealed brick from the BoC? or was is a single bundle give to you?  ???

Hello ,

It was a complete bundle from bank and still had the Bank of Canada paper band on it

I really don't want to be the parade rain-er, but caution definitly has to be excercised.

As soon as tellers have access to it, things can happen.  Now, from what it appears, your notes might be the real McDeal.

However:
a) tellers often slide notes out and count them, and then put the BoC bands back on them.  Some do not realize that BoC sometimes do not need to be counted.  What I am saying, is that BoC bands on single bricks does not really mean anything unfortunately - since they even re-use them sometimes.
b) counting = mixing possible.
c) notes get split all the time.

Now, the fact of the matter is that there may have been tampering.  If you can get your hands on bricks (sealed bricks of 10 bundles) then the information can be taken as though it is truly out of a virgin brick.

For you sake, I hope someone else has been able to confirm your find. I know what it is like to have a find that doesn't get confirmed. :(  Fingers crossed ;)

Just read your post-I can't remember if I reported this to Gilles before, but in Jan 2007 I found AOH9245154 to 9245160 after AOJ5085007.  Then AOJ5085008 to 5085013 were fine-next came AOH9245161 to 9245167 then it continued AOJ5085021 to 5085099.
AOJ5085100 to 5085103 were fine, then AOH9245168, then AOJ5085105 to5085122. Next was AOH9245169 to 9245171 then AOJ5085126 to 5085138 were fine.
AOH9245172 came next, followed by AOJ5085140 to 5085199.
AOJ5085200 to 5085999 were complete-no more replacements in the brick.  (Total 19 replacements in the brick).
The brick was sealed in plastic wrap, with large white strap around the 10 bundles and 10 individual B of C white and black straps around each bundle.
I kept the radar and shoulder bills AOJ5085805 and they have BP # 93 and FP #98.
The replacement Bills AOH9245154 to 9245172 also have BP # 93 and FP # 98.
Hope this makes sense-I know some of you have the numbers/sequencing all figured out and can hopefully confirm this.
These numbers are close to what viauauto found, so I thought I should report this.

Elizabeth,

The information you posted above is for notes in the already confirmed AOH, (9.240M - 9.280M) sheet
replacement range.  Unfortunately it does not help with viauauto's find, as his find (if untampered with)
appears to be single note replacements outside the range of the known sheet replacements.

Since the AOH, (9.240M - 9.280M) sheet replacement range is already posted on the Wiki site, and as such,
has been confirmed, we would not normally report additional finds to Gilles.  Unless of course, if those additional
finds are in conflict to the already known data.

Thanks for the post anyways.

Hi Arthur
I'm sorry I don't keep up to date enough with this.   I just had a few minutes to go on the site and when I saw the #'s, I thought I would mention what I had-I guess I should have looked up my #'s on the site first.  I'll try to be a little more "with it" in future!   Thanks for the reply!

I have been searching through the AOH threads and found the following post that adds some credence
to viauauto's find as being a valid SNR range, even though it was from a single BoC banded bundle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Found in sealed Brick today
in AOK 3931501 found   AOH 9409020  .  Missing   AOK 3931502.  Everything else was there.

Cheers

Polarbear

The two finds look as follows:

viauauto               AOH9409011-018   found in AOK3904900
Polarbear              AOH9409020          found in AOK3931500

There is only one AOH note missing between the two finds and 26600 notes between the two bricks.  This only
serves to confirm the scarcity of certain SNR ranges.
