If anyone has any of these APF/APE error notes, could you please post the serial number and fpn/bpn?

Thanks!

Not a bad belated Christmas present.... I found a $5 bill with the mismatched prefix
APF/APE today while going through the deposit. Circulated with a 1/2 tear at the top of the center fold.

FPN - 80
BPN - 59

The question is how many are there in Unc as opposed to those being found in circulation ???

Eventually, someone is going to get their hands on a bundle or even an entire brick of error notes.  Most of us dream of such a lucky day, but would such a treasure live up to expectations?  What would you do with all those consecutive errors?  Would you announce your find publicly or keep quiet?  What would your expectations be if you sold some (or all) of them?  How long would you hold out to get the price you want?  I'm not sure I would want to find more than ten in a row.  Any more, and the price per note goes down...  or perhaps I'm wrong.

I think this is just something that we say out loud never really believing it could be reality. The odds are very much against us but dreaming about such a find is fun to do once in a while especially when things are slow. If we can continue and pretend about such a find I would say that finding a Brick of these in $5 would be very manageable over say $50 or $100. I don’t think anybody would announce their finds publicly which is no different from any other finds and notes found rarely equate to notes kept. One thing I would do would be to keep a few of the best grades and most interesting numbers then obviously sell some but I would be more excited about having interesting notes that could be used for trades to further develop my collection. If you just do some quick and easy numbers and say you had a Brick of these and sold them over 10 years that would be 2 notes a week or 1 note a week over 20 years which seems like a lot but I honestly don’t know how fast you could sell them as error notes have a very strong following. I wouldn’t think that you could sell all of them a $500 each but maybe if this ever happened I would tell everybody about the find and price them in such a way that everybody who ever wanted one but couldn’t afford it would now have a shot at a nice error note for their collection. Besides their would be 1000 of them!  Here’s to dreaming!
