I live near Granville Island.  I consider myself a collector without a collection.  My wife and I both work part time and have two young kids, leaving little resources for expansion of a paper money collection.  My collection consists mostly of circulated notes that are not worth much more than face value!

Everyone has to start some where. I bet you look at every S/N on notes that pass through your hands. Your collection may not be worth much now but when those little kids of yours gets older they will be happy you put away what you did. Just enjoy the hobby and have fun.

Collecting is not a contest it a form of recreation.

Anybody know of any stores, meetings, or paper money action of any kind in Kamloops? I'm not from there, but I visit my best friend and her kid a couple times a year. I'll be there next week kind of checking it out as a possible place to move to.

Hmmm, I must have missed this thread...

I live near Granville Island in Vancouver.  Work part time, have young kids, and have very little money to spend on any hobbies right now.  The only notes that my wife will let me buy are ones that can be liquidated (i.e. spent) quickly if we need the money.  So that means right now I collect circulated notes that can be acquired for face value.  Several members here have been helpful in getting me old multicoloured notes for face value.  Thanks guys.   :)

Hi Seth, I will be moving to Vancouver island in a few months. I often pick up old notes at face and usually just spend them. When i get settled out there PM me and just remind me .
