I did an e-bay search in the Paper Money: World category looking for Replacements, Asterisk and Star notes and the majority of the listings are for Canadian notes.  There are a few listings for replacement notes from Hong Kong, New Zealand, Philippines and Malawi, but little else.  US star notes seem to be popular, but why has replacement collecting not caught on in the rest of the world?

I've created a new forum on "World Notes", moderated by coinsplus. Maybe you should start something going there...
