Greetings - A friend of mine has a note I've never seen before, and I was hoping one of you folks could lend a hand. It's dated 1859, issued by the Colonial Bank of Canada. It certainly  looks and feels authentic. The reverse is blank. Does anyone have any idea what this is worth?

A lot depends on the colour (orange-brown or pink) and the condition.
For the orange brown, if the note is fully signed at bottom left and bottom right, book value is $85 for very good, $110 for fine, $165 for very fine, up to $425 for uncirculated.  A remainder note (missing one or both signatures) will be worth about 40% less.  If the note is pink, there will be one signature only (at lower right): $60 for very good, $85 for fine, $110 for very fine, up to $300 for uncirculated.
