Yesterday was probably my greatest score at the gas bar. I got a series 8 (1985) 50 cent note, a 50 cent and a 1 dollar note both from series 11 (1989), and a series 13 (1987) 1 dollar note which is also a stretched serial number variety!!!

For those of you wondering how I'm able to find older notes, the attendant at the gas bar has agreed to look through the ones she has on hand. Not every attendant will be willing to do this so be sure to ask nicely and if they ever put any aside, try to get them all, even if you already have them or don't need them. It's a good idea to bring some notes you already checked (newer ones) from your stash because if what you get from the gas purchase isn't enough to exchange for the notes, you will have some on hand to use. If they do end up finding some great stuff for you, maybe get them a little something once in a while to show your appreciation and how much it makes you happy what they are doing for you.
